Yes, I did. My hubs does well so thankfully I don't have to worry about finances, so I realize I am very lucky. Someone told me careers can be extended but children are only small once.

Mr OP, I both commend and envy you! This is a time you’ll get to spend with family, and then as you grow older, look back fondly on rather than in relief... good for you man 💪

My wife quit and we switched to having dedicated roles. She runs the house and is in charge of everything the family does more or less. I focus on bringing home the bacon. Our kids have a better shot at life due to having her. My mom used to work and everything was an uphill battle for me including stuff that came naturally for people that had a mom.

My SO goes on a loud negative self talk whenever he loses a chain of chess games. I don’t like it and have talked to him about it, but he says that’s how people who are competitive behave. Idk since I’m not into games / sports and isn’t competitive overall, but don’t know how to deal with this
