In an increasingly hybrid/remote working culture, how do you educate and convince your business stakeholders to not do info overloads with emails? Hello everyone, I am at the offer stage for a remote job with a Canadian based company. The country I'm working from does not imposes taxes on salaries, but Canada does. Am I going to receive the salary mentioned in the offer letter in full or will it also be subject to Canadian taxes?

Is it actually better without WFH? I started recently, worked non-IB previously so I have no pre-covid IB work experience to compare.
I feel that WFH adds an additional layer of lack of boundaries/no WLB (obviously I know IB is already crazy though)

Trying to figure out next career move. Im 26. What path would you chose?

1. Currently: Senior associate in GE @ secondaries firm. Path to partner. Will have $1b AUM with 3rd fund raised. WLB is great - avg 40 hrs/week. Culture is rough b/c partner dynamics. Leadership is uninspiring. 5 days a week in office with rare work remote option. Don’t love only doing secondaries.

2. Move to VC or another GE shop, one that does more primary. Find more inspiring people to work around, better mentors.

I know shrinkage happens to everyone, but do any of you have UNEVEN shrinkage? When my hair is blown out, my hair length is even (have it cut in layers), but when it’s wash day or even the days after, a significant portion of hair at my nape shrinks so much and makes my hair look crazy uneven. It dries very quickly when wet, & I have to keep adding more product (almost absorbs it, but it still looks frizzy/dry) to just have it hold and not shrink to much... cont..

Hear me out, my dream goal in Big Four is to organize a Big Four golfing tournament. The best players from each firm go head to head. Obviously too ambitious to do a national level tourney, but I’ll settle for a market-based tourney, to see who is the best Big Four team out of the Houston market for example. Golfers out there, what do you think?
