I wonder if anyone here from an RIA has been exploring merger / acquisition with another RIA and what multiples are currently trending? Also, please give a me perspective on comp structure, deal structuring.
Moving client side at a series A funded global tech startup as the Sr Director of Corporate & Brand Marketing role (lead the creative team and everything owned and earned). Report to the CMO. No VPs on the marketing team currently. SF based company. Offered 180. Seems low (and a pay cut from current role). Any thoughts on this? Appreciate the help!
I have an HSA I haven’t maxed out and am switching to a new employer in 2 wks with whom I’ll be signing up for a non-HSA healthcare plan. Can I still max out my HSA for the year?
What can I expect the interview process at West Monroe to be like, particularly the case study? Heard great things about the culture, but how is comp for a SC in the M&A practice (HCOL)?
If you could work remote from anywhere in the US, where would you? (Within reason, of course)
Started at a new firm 3 months ago, first two months was swamped staffed on a huge deal, (my only file) did my hours everything good. July: deal was supposed to close did not due to regulatory stuff but my work stream is done and over and am now really really slow, asked for work to people I had worked with to help them close - nothing, staffed on a new deal , client on vacation so everything is on stand by. I’m freaking out don’t know how to reach to partners/senior associates (ctd in comments)
I know everyone has worked on “burn and churn” accounts but when did you know it was time to leave/ how did you leave? Backstory: since the get go we have had a long sprints, a terrible account manager, and a cd who won’t support us or advocate for us. We are burnt out but when we raise our hand we just get yelled at and told everyone is dealing with this. How do we escape?
Just finished an initial phone screen with a recruiter at KPMG...my candidature was very well recd.. one hour later I got an email saying they will have to pass because they don’t do H1 transfers with less than 3.5 years on visa. Is this for real? On my second extension and having 3.5 years is highly improbable. I do have my current visa till sep 2020
My trainer just kicked my ass over zoom in a weighted cardio workout 🙌🏼💪🏼 I miss my gym but I’m thankful we can still workout
Is there a reason non-technically oriented leads always seem to think coding is easy and can get done quickly? Esp the case at Big 4.
I want to understand why was Arthur Anderson kicked out of the audit business. I know they played a major part in the Enron scandal. But still these days we are seeing scandals happening. Someday we see EY name popping (Wirecard) KPMG or some other Big 4 but we still hold a strong position in the market. Then why didn't Arthur Anderson in accounting and audit business especially what I have learnt that it was largest among the big 5 at that time?
At what point do we ask to WFH? I am based in NYC and now there are two confirmed coronavirus cases. My project has not mentioned working remotely and travel is booked for upcoming months... 😧
Potential project lined up it I'm not big on local work. SM said transport would be expensed and food I'd pay for but get a per diem. Is he blatantly lying to me?
Has anyone worked with someone they phished on a red team? I'm joining a company that I assessed and the guy I compromised for initial access was extremely stressed and worried he would get fired, should I reach out when I join or just let it be?
Bf and I are commuter LDR, so only see each other on weekends. He never stays more than a day because he’s an introvert and “needs his me-time”. He went over to WFH from his friend’s cabin on Tuesday, and is planning on staying the weekend rather than visiting me. I want him to have his fun, but I’m irritated.
For my auditors, how has remote auditing during the pandemic change your perspective on client-site auditing? What have been some pros/ cons?
Question that I don’t have a decisive answer for yet - if I already had COVID last spring (almost exactly a year ago), should I still get the vaccine now? Should I only get one shot instead of two? Should I just wait? Thanks in advance.
Does anyone sign their emails at the end with their initials of their first and last name? I'm not sure how I feel about that, I've noticed quite a lot of people in the firm and at the client who do.
