Anybody know what the hours are like for litigation counsel at FAANG? Is it one of the worst in house roles in terms of WLB or is it going to be pretty close to a 40-50 hour five day week

I would do terrible things to get a lit position at FAANG.

Really depends on the company and the lit role. The privacy lit lawyers are working pretty crazy hours at several FAANG companies

Which divisions would you say are more relaxed

I’m not lit, but I’m at 40 hours and the lit folks I know seem pretty relaxed. Outside counsel handles all of the day-to-day on matters so I can’t imagine there are many fires or off-hours work

Litigation at FAANG here — it varies but I would say 40-50 is standard week but can scale up during busy times. Can’t compare to anything else though

I've heard lit can be brutal at some of the FAANG companies. Would rather not say which but I've seen ppl burn out horribly.

I'm a college kid graduating in May 2023 looking for career advice. I am graduating with a BS in business administration (lol) and have worked for two years as a residential leasing agent. I've closed about $1.5 million in new lease contracts.

I want to work in sales, and for the next five years I plan on having little to no WLB and want to max out earnings. Where is the best place for me to start looking for these opportunities and what sort of comp should I expect with my experience? Thanks!

This general strike talk has really got me re-evaluating my whole career. I can’t complain about compensation, I’m paid well, I have benefits, and I have a roof over my head. But the work life balance and unsustainable productivity expectations that have been created by agencies that won’t say no to clients needs to change. We place/create ads to turn millionaires into billionaires while we’re treated terribly. Something’s gotta give. I don’t know a single person who isn’t burnt out right now
