I’ve been doing SAP for a year(needed the job) and I absolutely despise the work and feel like tech support. Every day is like a 12 hour long safety brief. I’m tied to an archaic, obsolete, bureaucratically-designed vendor where my skills are useless for literally anything else.

Hey guys. The job that I hated (health-role) in the military is no more. I’m now a vet currently just living on my savings and still have no idea what I want to do. I just know I don’t want to be miserable. I was thinking maybe to get into sales since selling is a great skill to have. Any suggestions on entry roles and where to start? I’ve seen a few posts here about 100% disability rating being decreased. I have 100% + get extra pay for I guess inconvenience from my combat related disabilities - I believe it’s T&P. But wanted to check in and see if anyone has had this happen? I go to my VA appointments when I can but nothing to do with compensation.

I had a psych meet the other day for VA stuff in expanding my PTSD and anxiety issues - it opened some traumas; childhood, Iraq, divorce, alcoholism, suicide attempt. I cried a few times explaining then to now. I’ve been in therapy for years which has given me all the tools I’ve needed to work thru it all. I prepped for this meet knowing it was coming, but it resurfaced alot of memories. She ended saying, “you’re doing great.” I needed that so much. Thank you for listening and you’re not alone.
