I left my 1st job out of college 2 years ago. I know people who went back. And lately I’ve been considering it a lot. It was a small federal contracting company. The client was amazing. I left because I wanted to explore what a bigger company had to offer. Would it be weird to reach out to see if there’s any possibility of coming back? Left on a great note and am still in touch with a lot of people there. I just really miss the team, client, low stress, flexibility (alternative work schedule).

How does one project Intercompany Eliminations in a segment-level P&L?

I’m an IP associate (focused mainly on trademarks) in an AMLaw 200 firm (slightly below NY market pay) and I’m curious to know what IP groups (mainly trademark related practices) at V50 firms are like. My practice is relatively chill. No major fires to put out - steady and predictable 8-9 billable hours a day. I can generally not work on weekends. Am I at a unicorn shop or is this normal for Trademark practices?

How do you all take care of things outside of work? If you don’t have 8 hours of billable time a day, do you leave as is or do you fill in the gap with non-billable work? While I am in the office, I don’t always get the billable amount since I don’t have enough work.
