Don’t do it

The only thing shared is your time during the presentation. Timeshares are a money pit. Where wealth goes to die.

CM - not sure you intended, but your name shows instead of title or company.

There’s an entire industry devoted to helping people get out of their timeshare - that should tell you something.

I've been to the property in Maui. On Points. For free. Don't do it.

It’s always worth it to ‘listen for 100k points & a heavily discounted stay”. “No thanks” is amazingly easy to say

So brave CM, we can see your profile too. Which is a bit scary :-/ do you want us to report it so it goes away?

Don’t do it - did it years ago, after I’d gotten my bonus - regret it to this day.

Look up timeshare users group dot net i think. Bunch of people giving away their timeshares... or advising on how to pick up points on the cheap on ebay. You can learn all about the programs and why you really don’t want to be in them.

like

I have one. I should have waited but gf thought is was good idea. So far haven’t used them because I get everything off points.

like

Lol. Kinda but the presentation was interesting and got me thinking at least

Lay off the shrooms

Out of curiosity what was the offer? I do think that it is possible to get a deal on these if you negotiate hard enough or if you buy one on the secondary market.

Timeshares make literally no sense for people with points... You can stay anywhere for free already

@pwc1 - It was around 350 a month for 10 years. However with refi in year 2, it went down to 300. This was for 2000 points a year which roughly gives you 10 nights a year at top destinations if you choose off peak days. Their properties in Maui and Bali looked fantastic. Thanks all for confirming I did the right thing :)

I'm going to listen because I got a good deal for the weekend and then 100k points for listening. But won't buy it doesn't make sense financially.

Buy an airplane instead of a timeshare. You’ll use it more

Hi all! Would anyone know how safe Park Hill is? I'm specifically looking at MLK Jr. Blvd, about 5~10 blocks east of Colorado Blvd, near the City of Axum Park. Ideally, I'd like to commute into downtown via public transit 1-2 times a week, so any insights into Denver buses would also be greatly appreciated!

We can back for a 2nd test in early July but, rallied and we have rallied ever since. 3375 is the objective, 125 points away, and right at old highs. Do we have to goto old highs before a sell off? Is it normal for you to ever be “ghosted” by your administration? I feel like I’m constantly emailing, calling, texting, and meeting with them and nothing gets done. This is at a district where I travel between 3 schools and have 3 principals. They’re all like this and communication is especially important since I have to travel.

I was contacted by a recruiter about a role at a large tech company (not FAANG) but the role is as a W2 contractor until their hiring freeze is lifted. The base comp for the full time is ~75% more than my current base and the role interests me. Basically, I want to sanity check this, am I ignoring red flags in considering this?
