Anybody recruit for CVS or understand the hiring process? I applied for a job with them and got an initial interview via HireVue. I thought it went well but several days after I turned in my virtual interview for review, the job posting was taking down and stamped “ no longer taking applications” does this mean somebody else has filled the position and they just haven’t gotten around to sending rejection letters or am I still in the running?

From my experience - this could mean they’ve had a good amount of applications they need to sort through and interview. They may have closed the req temporarily to sort through all, and if none of the candidates are a good fit, req may be opened again.

It was most likely filled internally.

PS give the recruiter a call to inquire.

I’ve worked for CVS twice as tech. Most recently beginning of last year they are in a staffing shortage for all positions but I’ve never used HireVue before maybe its a new process of different process for pharmacist. I’d call to follow up.

Hi guys, I had an interview for an SDE 2 in the Bay Area. The recruiter came back saying they can only offer an SDE 1 position, and currently the team I interviewed for does not have any open positions at that level. The recruiter mentioned that they have sent out my application to multiple hiring managers and as soon as they hear back they will let me know. Has anyone else ever dealt with getting downgraded for a position and then hung out to dry?

I've been working in the NHS as an orthopaedic surgeon for over 10 years. I have recently made the transition over to industry working for a pharmcovigilance and certification body TUV SUD. Early signs are great. I know several clinicians who are currently advocating the overworked underpaid mantra and would like a referral. Let me know if you are keen to hear more.

I was just offered an RN II position at Stanford Hospital’s B3 unit for $84/hour. Are there any RNs out there who can tell me what it’s like working on the unit and if it’s worth leaving my job for? I love my current job, my schedule and the people. I have no problems with it except that it’s 1.5 hours away from my family and it pays $25/hour less than Stanford.

Also, do you think it’s too late to ask if I can visit the unit before I make my decision? Thanks in advance.

I am so conflicted and not sure what to do. A company I wanted to work for was not ready for hire when I first reached out in Sept. Since then I have accepted a job at a outpatient oncology clinic, starting in Jan at a renowned hosp. Having said that the other company does more of what I was hoping to do when I left my previous job. The company is a vessel for new ideas in healthcare helping their community specifically with seed funding, & launching their own programs. I have no idea what to do

I’ve been a Pharmacy Tech for a few years and I wanted to see what other careers would be possible using a similar skill set.

I think I bombed a case interview with Chartis for an associate consultant position. The case was in excel and required me to manipulate the data via share screen with the interviewer. I couldn’t get some functions to work and was struggling to go through the 16 page PDF of data. I had several answers correct but needed to walk through the remaining questions with some guidance. My other 3 case interviews went well and I had great conversation with the partner for behavioral interview. Thoughts?

Current care coordinator and full time nursing student looking for a remote healthcare job that pays well and is flexible for students…any suggestions?

Anyone out there who is a RN who works in marketing? I have been a surgical nurse/nurse navigator for 10 years and for the last 2 years have taken an interest in marketing. I am a skilled nursing facility biller and collector for Medicare & Insurance, my job can absolutely be remote but the company I work for refuses to allow employees to work remotely. I’ve been with this company for 10 years and am looking elsewhere to find the same position but remote so I can move out of state. Noticing that other companies don’t pay billers well, making me feel stuck. This job is a lot harder than people realize and feeling like I already don’t get paid enough. Any advice?

I have a MHA, MBA, and BSHA. I’m wanting to get into a supervisor or manger role but I don’t have the experience. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I dive in and start getting the experience I need? I live in Washington and work in Oregon. Also, anything using my MBA would be favored as well, this degree is not healthcare specific. Thank you!

So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Because I am able to “pick up and go” I’m open to opportunities and locations. I’ve never worked with a recruiter but was hoping I could get some recommendations!
