Hey fish fam, I have an SO who is a special education teacher trying to get out of the classroom but not having any luck. I really want to help her out because I know that she loves teaching, but it is making her miserable. Anyone know of specific consulting firms or Ed tech companies that are hiring educators? Bonus points if you know if any specific job openings that you could point me to. Thanks in advance for the help! Deloitte EY Pearson Mcgraw-Hill Education

d1, what the fuck if that dribble?
Went from industry to consulting. Major difference is the ability of folks in consulting to find work rather than admit that they have nothing to do. PMO'ing the hell out of everything with excruciating detail takes a lot of focus...consultants can do it. Industry folks will say fuck off and go home 😂

Yeah that wasn't English. I went from government engineer to big 4 consultant. Haha you can imagine what a slap in the face that was. People are so much more motivated and efficient. Work a lot more but make a lot more. I miss doing engineering design but I'm happy with my choice.

Went into industry to consulting. I honestly didn't do much in industry and had a lot of down time. You barely use your brain. But in industry your always staying busy either with client work or PRD. Constantly learning. In o@ you never use your brain in the other you go brain dead with all the work
interesting, thanks, I've only been in consulting (2 years) and can't imagine the time of day dictating when you're done working like oh it's 530 why are you still here? my friends don't get it at all
Industry to Consulting: More Travel, More working hours (40 hrs <> 40 billable hrs), more accountability over work, less interesting work (same 'problem solving' over and over), don't usually see the payoff of projects you spend months on, better vacations (when you can schedule it)
