Hey y’all! I’m on the job hunt again and I’d love to hear your thoughts on EEO surveys, do you self-disclose your race and gender or opt out? Have you noticed a difference either way?

Have you felt the need to come out to show advocacy and diversity in your classroom? Even if you’re totally comfortable in your personal life, do you feel this need to be out and be an ally?

Just got feedback that I need to hire a more diverse team. My team is 70% women and I am an Asian women myself. What exactly are they looking for? This is the main feedback in my promo case and I have no idea how to fix it but don’t want to sound combative.

Assuming all candidates are equally motivated/talented and their portfolios are at the exact same level (big assumption, I know but bare with me), which would you say are agencies’ most preferred races/ethnicities to bring in diversity and in which order?

YOE : 8.5 years Gender : female. I joined Barclays 6 months back as an AVP and want to resign now due to office politics. Any ideas for inclusion for high school kids with severe autism and intellectual disability? PE is the only time that students are with typical kids.

We are starting to really address diversify and inclusion and build partnerships with community resources.

What do you feel is important in building out DEI program?

Looking for idea driven copy writers, ACD and CD level for health & wellness accounts. Not typical pharma projects, with lots of opportunities to work on meaningful assignments that address diversity and inequities.

Bi folks... do you experience lean towards different gender at different times of your life?

Currently a senior in college, working at McKinsey in the fall. I appear as a gay man but more recently identify as a gender queer man, and dress in a mix of men’s and women’s clothing. (More below)

How did you begin to implement equity and inclusion into your organization?

We are exploring having a third party come in and assess our I&D efforts across our company. We have many locations across North America. Is anyone aware of an entity who does this? We have found questionnaires through target organizations and have done anonymous employee surveys but are hoping to find someone who can do an assessment for gender, minorities, disabilities, 2SLGBTQ+, etc. and provide feedback on the actual employee experience and where we may have blind spots.

Looking to break into the food tech industry in the bay area - has anyone worked for any empowering companies that they can speak for as having a truly strong company culture? Have worked as a program manager for the last two years at a sustainable food company, but the diversity, equity and inclusion, work-life balance, and level of respect are all oldschool and not ideal for queer, non-binary folx such as myself. How do you get a client to move away from wanting meetings only after 5pm? I’ve had a few meetings with them after work hours and I think they now expect that I’m always free after 5 to talk when they want. I think I’m within my rights to not have meetings after work hours (of course with exceptions when urgent), but these are often just discussions that could happen via email.

I thought I found the perfect position in March but I was let go today. I was blindsided. Never a complaint, my reviews were excellent and I got along well with the owners. My only issue was the PEO not speaking with me and going directly to the owners with her agenda. I asked ownership to work with me and I would pull the PEO in, if necessary. Apparently, they have a longstanding friendship and he does not think of them as a vendor as a friend. She suggested a on-site PEO rep and out I go!

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?
