Current EM at McK, the VP of pricing role I’m interviewing for wants to give me an offer. Recruiter said they picked me over an Associate Partner at McK and two Principals at BCG.

First convo, I had mentioned a target total comp (base + bonus + equity) of 400-420k. Now being asked if my salary expectations are the same.

What is a fair ask and strategy to navigate this? If APs and Principals were in the running, then don’t wanna undersell myself on comp

I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager. After 45 minutes she said they will let me know...

2 months later and I am still waiting...

I would join that company if everything's equal but had to start on current role since the other company was dragging feet a but on getting resources for the role.
They might still be waiting for approvals for the role...should I just wait for them or keep talking? Last time HR did say to check back later.

I’m not old BUT when I was younger I thought it was important to have all the alphabets after my name (I.e. Phr, SHRM and all the others). I learning that the younger crowd coming into the market thrives off these identifiers yet they know very little about the real world aspects of the job. I watch leadership roll their eyes at the email footers. I feel like keeping those attached to my name hurts my credibility so I removed them…. I’m I thinking wrong?

Just got let go and my manager said part of it was because I was looking for other jobs. I didn't look for other jobs at work, so I'm not sure how they could have known that unless a coworker snitched on me. Is it worth it to try and find out who or should I just leave it? Can't deny that I'm seriously pissed off about it.

With so many layoffs taking place. Would love to know the community’s thoughts on this move. I have 1.5 yrs closing experience, but seems that many roles I’m still unqualified for. Was laid off as company was downsizing. I’ve been a top performer at both companies I’ve been at as well. And was the fastest promoted SDR in company history.

SalesForce folks, a recruiter reached out for an opportunity to interview for a AE position in my specialty. I noticed there is also an opp available locally for a Strategic Account Manager in my vertical as well.
Any one know of pay difference between the two, responsibilities/expectations, how they are viewed in the org itself?
I understand they are different but in my job today, I handle both roles so can go in either direction.

I’m a new AE at a start up that was founded in 2018. I just started last week. Our ICP is retail and e-commerce brands. (Those who typically have an OMS and ship products to their customers)

The product is essentially an AI chatbot that can handle many customer requests- without the need of a live agent. (Think 20% of tickets will be automatically resolved- saving a company tons of time and money)

Opinions on where y’all think retail / e-commerce brands will be in the next 1-2 years?

I’m in a closing role now, I’m selling cable. I’ve gotten it a few times where I’ll apply for an SDR role in SAAS and the recruiter will say, “We decided not to move forward because we have other candidates that are more experienced and because you’re in a closing role now”. Hi, could use some advice here. I’m (24m) and I work as an SDR in the SaaS industry. My company basically goes to other SaaS companies and does their outbound sales for them. So I’ve had two different clients in the 8 months I’ve been here. Quota is 10 outbound a month and little pay for base/hitting quota. I want to get out of here and have been applying but hearing lots of “no’s”. I’m not going to give up. Any advice? Any way I can better sell myself to get a better paying job?

Was wondering if yall know of any remote sales jobs with a good starting base salary? I'm doing great at my current role selling senior health insurance (76k give or take a year) but I know I'm capable of selling at a higher commission range. My calls at my last company were all cold (around 100 a day). I got job offers as a recruiter and also a few SDR offers but both fields the base is under 45k. I have a four year degree and one year of sales experience. Thank you

I’ve done B2B sales for my family’s marketing business on and off since HS, and continue to manage a small book as a side gig.

Currently bootlegging/building out a team to pilot a more modern “SDR/AE/CS” sales org, as the current “AE handles all customer canvasing, closing, and post close” is extremely inefficient and un scalable.

He said it in a very stern tone of voice. Well of course I understand it because it was my f*cking idea that I brought to his attention prior to Christmas.

IMO, this guy does nothing. He steals the ideas of his team members and then acts like tyrant in front of people.
