Help! Started new HR role 2 mnths ago. I have worked with the founder before but not reported directly. I am noticing a few gaps in the communication (like saying and agreeing on one thing but have it very different the next time we talk). I have started to send requests for approval and have them back in writing as much as possible. I don't want to bring up petty "...but you said this". Not confident in pushing back when I am right either. This is impacting work & mental health.

How is everyone staying motivated at work while going through fertility treatments? On days when I have appts or get my period, all I want to do is google and read forums about it. My utilization is tanking (not because I’m blowing off work, but because I need to find and take on new work) but can’t get the energy to). I’m a senior associate in BL and wondering if anyone experiences the same as me. Every morning without fail I have a panic attack, I feel flush, full of anxiety, overwhelmed, heart racing and feel like elephant on my chest. I lie in bed for hours and find it hard to get up until there’s a pressing need, like a call or urgent email. It’s not caused by any specific worry but more just a daily thing (and I work in a relatively good BL practice too). Anyone go through the same? How do you recover?

I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. While he is overall a decent guy, his anger issues, yelling at his wife for the slightest issue, and insulting nature makes me uncomfortable and triggers my own anger due to his blatant disrespect for just about everyone around him.

In Austria, I can take up to a year off, but only receive €2,000 a month from the government 😳… I don’t think there is any paid leave through the firm. Pregnancy through birth costs are pretty covered by insurance though. Would love your thoughts!
