Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? That will never happen!!!
If anyone is looking for a job in healthcare…Crowe is hiring. Contact me for a referral.
Have been working as a SAP Consultant for about 4 years and a recruiter approached me for a Product Management role in a big tech company. If any PM's here, how technical does it usually get? The JD is kinda scary
Anybody work at Amazon? Are their offers negotiable? My husband got an offer for a senior position in the VA office paying $120k plus $20k bonus plus 13 shares of stock that vest over 4 years. My husband has ~6 years of experience (2 yrs midsize PA plus various industry roles) so the senior title is low but have heard you have to take a step down in title to work at Fortune 25 companies. He likes the offer but not sure if he should negotiate for more because it’s expected?
Am I the only producer having a really difficult time finding a new mid/senior level role in NY? Have experience & decent work to show but cannot seem to get past RD2 interviews. Feeling really down!
How long is the interview process for PwC for their payer senior associate role? Finished the phone screen and finished their first interview. Is there one or three more to go? Steptoe is currently hiring for a business development manager (focused on IP) and business development coordinator. Let me know if you’re interested in any of those positions and i can direct you to the right person. It is also available under the “careers” section on the website.
I am an HR Business Partner at my current company but have been afforded a few human capital consulting opportunities with various big 4 firms. I don’t think I’d want to make a career out of it given the long hours, however I’m contemplating accepting the role and doing consulting for 2 years and then going back to industry. Is this a practical path? How hard is the transition from consulting to industry and what sort of roles have ppl landed that did transition to industry? Would love advice!
Have the final interview with the CTO of a 1000 people tech unicorn for a senior technical program manager role. Any tips on what kind of questions I can expect from a CTO.

How to deal with jealousy over friends and peers getting amazing job offers amidst my struggle to find a new role? It keeps happening and today my friend informed me he’s leaving for a 35% pay raise. I’m making 50K less than him now and feel criminally underpaid by my lackluster company.
Anyone interviewed with databricks for a Project Manager role? How has the experience been?
I am soon 2 Years at BCG, but my ratings make it unlikely that I make the promotion to C - what are my options? Will BCG help me find another job / give me paid notice to search for new opportunities? Outside of consulting, what would be a realistic position to aim for after 2 years A?

What kind of pay can I expect if I switch B4 tax tech to regional or national regular tax after 1 year with CPA? My team does dead end work and I don't see exit opps in my future if I stay. Midwest.
I’m still fuzzy on this whole innovation thing. People are still getting hired to the role. What do they do? They seem to be nothing more than pundits. Someone else could be hired for that salary.
Tips on negotiating a higher salary for@a promotion? Waited 8wks for it to become official and the offer letter is 10-15k below what this role typically pays. Starting to wish I kept interviewing tbh
EY 🐠, is it normal to have only 2 interviews and get an offer after a week? I have had 2 b2b interviews in one day, both went great with a SM and M. I think I am fairly under qualified for the position but received an offer. Any thoughts on lack of communication with the recruiter, yet receiving an offer? If anyone is willing to DM I can provide more details and seek further feedback
For those of you who left big 4 for industry - I’m seeing a lot of people saying they got 30% + raises when leaving. How did you find these jobs willing to pay that much more? Looking to leave at the M1 level and having trouble finding anything with much more than a 10-15% increase in base comp. from my current salary. Would it be dumb to leave for that low of a percentage increase? Some are offering equity in addition to the base comp. but hard to put a specific value to that now.
Need to move to the burbs w/fiancee, but where? Staying in BK is not an option, though we will eventually work in the city 1-2 days/week (someday?). Won't do long island, need a 2 car garage w/space to work on cars and also space for a woodshop whether it's in basement or elsewhere. Planning on having kids and because we'll work from home a lot still need office space. I grew up in burbs and it wasn't so bad because I lived walking distance to train station into the city & nice downtown. 800k!
How do we use the 35K point Marriott vouchers from the 2 free night promotion? I tried booking a vacation stay and Marriott took the 70K points directly from my account instead of using the voucher.
Has anyone left for a local firm and bounced back to top 10/big 4 or top 10? I've been interested in working at a local firm for some time, have an opportunity, but want the opportunity to get back to something larger if I learn I hate it.

Getting an offer without ever doing an in-person interview (i.e. Skype only). Is it a thing?
Has anyone been close to 75 night platinum and talked your way into it? If so, how close? Debating if it's worth staying at SPG if there are better hotels since I won't get to 75.

EY-Parthenon 🐠, how many years does it typically take to go from director to senior director? I am interviewing for a role in M&A. I am a second year manager with around 12 years of experience (Industry and consulting combined). The recruiter is trying to bring me in as a director and I am trying to figure out if i can be brought in as a third year or fourth-year director. My approach depends on how many years it typically takes to go from director to senior director.
If all the top consulting firms made anonymous decks or gave anonymous pitches to a client, eg no branding and the client did not know which firm made which deck, do you actually think that the client would prefer MBB? Is MBB actually coming up with better/more innovative solutions? I feel like I see many repeat or slightly altered solutions on almost all of my cases, are these really things that people at Deloitte/Accenture etc aren’t coming up with?
Currently a first year senior in regional firm. I just got off the phone with a recruiter at big 4 and they want to offer experienced staff position with almost $10k lower salary. Any thoughts?
BCG 🐠 or anyone else who recently interviewed with BCG - is there a new interview format? If so, can someone please share this format. I saw someone mentioned online test, and math test etc. instead of case studies.
We don't know what the long-term consequences of covid-19 are yet. Please wear your masks! Many viruses go on to be the cause of various cancers, whether or not you manifest symptoms when you initially catch the disease. 20 years from now, we could all have lung cancer or some sort of blood cancer. Even if you aren't concerned about getting sick now, we all should be concerned about what the long-term effects of it may be. Please be responsible. Take care of yourself and take care of others.
I work 8+ hour shifts in the office as we are an essential business where masks are required at all times. Has anyone else had the experience of wearing a good mask at work and getting excruciating headaches at work that last for a few hours after work? I've already had an isolation period so it's not Covid, but I'm thinking it might be the higher levels of carbon monoxide, as I've tried wearing a different mask and did not have the same problem.
