Anyone at Deloitte quit after their maternity leave, as in not returning to work after leave ends?

No firsthand experience w this but from reading similar posts here i believe there's a clawback of some sort where you have to work ~1 month after leave to not have to pay it back

like

Yes I read that too in the policy but I was wondering if someone had actually tried leaving before that 😅

like

No, but I have several coworkers who left after exactly a month.

like

Literally same story here. My coworker who did same things as I did before is getting promoted but for me they said it’ll be a hard sell 🙄

Due in 2 weeks with baby number two, husband just tested positive for Covid 😩 He’s been around me and our 2 year old the past 2 days, getting PCRs for me and my LO tomorrow. Freaking out is an understatement. We had our first in May 2020 and never thought we’d still be going through this 2 years later. Anyone know anyone whose delivered or had a c section with Covid? Looking for some encouragement everything will work out okay. This is crazily the first time we’ve had it!

After 3 years of dealing with the worst firm I've ever had the displeasure of working for, I finally landed my dream gig at a small specialty firm. The people at the new firm are all SMEs featured in and contributors to the most notable business publications in the world, less than 100 employees, better benefits, unlimimted PTO, doubled my pay and landed a senior role.

Keep looking for what you want and deserve. I'm happy to be forging a better path away from what I've had to endure.

A different kind of working mom post:

Many of you have young kids... are there any moms of teens here?

I am at a point where my teen's newfound "independence" is starting to impact my focus and time at work - his running off to hang with friends without permission, etc is becoming a distraction during the workday, and the impact has definitely been noticed by my superiors at work.

The issues with the kid are being handled appropriately - this is more about how to overcome perception at work

Tips for not crying when you’re asking for leave? I’m so stressed and overwhelmed with work and the CPA exam and I want to take time off to just put all my energy into the exam and be done with it. I want a month and a half to finish it up and then have a week or two to decompress before I come back. But anytime I wanna talk about it, the stress and nerves overwhelm me and my eyes start welling up. Idk how to control it.

Seeking advice on what to do career wise.

I’m still in my first year at Deloitte as a campus-hire. Feeling like this position isn’t for me, not fully enjoying what I’m doing, don’t feel like my coworkers value my work/me (I only work with men), and feeling like I am not getting adequate opportunities to grow my knowledge/experience in the work I do and also cross-department opportunities.

Should I wait it out and see? How do I get connected to try different things at the company?
