Is anyone else frustrated by how little tech salaries in the UK are talked about? Glassdoor is my only resource and salary ranges for my type of position vary greatly. Coming from a background in humanities, I'm struggling to understand if I'm over over/under paid and how much I can expect to make in my line of work, especially for a FAANG level tech company. Currently making 64K and I suspect I'm being overpaid. Does anyone have any resources similar to levels.fyi but with accurate UK data?
For people working in CMAAS practice in NYC or Florida. What is the culture down there? Thinking about a position there.
Hi fishes. I'm currently interviewing with SunLife for position of Disability Case Manager. Any ideas on what the starting salary is in Canada?
What can I expect from EY’s case interview? Senior consultant position for Business Transformation. TIA
I'm looking for good opportunity,
I am having total experience of 9.1 years and 8 years in the Treasury. I am having 10LPA..
My key responsibilities are cash management, forecast, variance, Hedging, and investments, opening and closing of the bank accounts, bank reconciliation, handling customer, vendor, tax, and IC payments, audits, borrowings and handling bank KYC and AML issues.
Does having a PMA certification make a difference? I’m very interested in product marketing and am planning my career trajectory to gain the experience and make my way to a PMM position ultimately.
I’m thinking of taking the PMA course to learn frameworks and get knowledge to work off of.
Does anyone have any advice on whether it’s worth it to take the course or should I continue to gain the experience along the way?
Received an offer at a Web3 company (it's a Sr. Director - VP position) with a base of $250,000 with 170% bonus potential (last year pay out was 110%). The thing is that they pay in USDT. Paid fairly (or under?), and anyone experienced getting paid in USDT (stablecoin)? If so, should I be asking for much more because of tax implications? This is also under 1099. I have 18 years of experience and am under 40 years of age. Saw other startups are offering up to $300k for way less experience.
Does anyone have experience with a commercial center of excellence role? The company I work for has created that role and offered it as an option to transition from marketing operations to that role. Pros? Cons? I don’t have much context to the specific responsibilities yet, but looking for any feedback on those that have experience with it. Not sure if it’s a switch I should make and what the salary range could be. I’m currently underpaid at $103k now…
Received a job offer today and unsure how to proceed. The role is lateral but with more opportunity to advance. The offer consists of a 17% base salary increase, a 25% annual bonus structure, and a signing bonus of 25% of my base. I feel that the offer is fair but the downside is fewer vacation days. I intend to negotiate the vacation time but as far as the compensation I am unsure if I should negotiate.. the offer is fair and I don't want to be greedy but I don't want to miss an opportunity
Picked it up today. My wallet hurts. Done for the foreseeable future until I’m in a position to get a Royal Oak at retail.
I just started a new job about a month ago. I find it hard to deal with my new boss. She is very rude in her Feeback and I can’t deal. I came from a big company where I have over 15 plus years of accounting experience and implementation of financial system. I took this role as a Controller at a smaller company where they do everything manual. And it’s taking some time to get use to a new system and industry. Her expectations are that I should come in and KNOW my job??!?? What should I do?
I have a modeling test interview for A&M securities coming up. It is for the RX analyst role within their corp fin practice. I know I will have 12 hours to complete the case and it will likely be a 3 statement model. Anyone know of any specific resources I could use to prep? How tough are A&M in their modeling tests?@
What kind of work does KPMG Technology Risk Management do? Currently in an IT audit role looking to jump.
Hey Ladies! So I’ve just transitioned into a new role, where I’ll be working on more roles. So if any of you are Software Engineers (Jr & Sr), Technical Program Managers, Quality Assurance Engineers, Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Managers or Software Engineering Managers, interested in the Alexa team, I would love to connect. ☺️
Hi, I’m interviewing at the federal reserve. Does anyone know if they (HR/hiring manager) will give you the top end of the FR wage? Is there any condition that they need to match your current base? Any tips on negotiation would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I’ve been working with a recruiter on a CXO position for two months and was told I was in the final 2 candidates. Heard nothing since for 3 weeks despite several attempts - won’t even call me back. I’m sure the opportunity is dead, but Is this how corporate recruiters roll? So disappointed they can’t even do decent thing and let me know.
Looking for thoughts from the collective :)
I’m at 15+ YOE across multiple industries, primarily in technical and operational management and leadership roles but with time spent in business development, marketing, HR, etc during 5 years as an entrepreneur. I’m looking to move to tech for a variety of reasons. Any thoughts on target roles? I’m torn between trying to upskill something as an IC to have a firmer foundation vs continuing as a PM or leadership role.
I’m four months into my job and I got put onto a PIP. I worked so hard to break into IB, put up all the hours and even working 2am nights for weeks, learned a ton, and improved a lot along the way as the sole analyst yet this happens. I’m extra worried because it doesn’t seem there’s IB analyst positions out there. Im really hoping come January more positions come up but I’m just praying they don’t fire me until then. Anyone have general tips for this situation?
Hi, all…it’s a New Year and I know some of us might be looking for that next big oppty. I’m looking to get back into TechOps or CS Ops myself. Can we start a referral thread here?
I’ve got my 7, 66, CFP, and CIMA with roughly 3.5 years industry experience. I started a new role at the paraplanner level… is this a bit of an undersell? Or is that along the industry timeline?
Anyone know of a moving company to move my furniture and home stuff from San Francisco to Toronto? Any reference would be helpful. Thank you.

Manager has informed my visa process has been put on hold by client due to some billing restructuring (no performance issue). The process was running from nearly 4-5 months and I haven't asked for compensation revise yet which i wanted to. What should i do now feeling so confused because they have said they can't even confirm if it'll resume or not stating it's client decision. Working tirelessly from last year for this and now they have backed just 10 days before interview. How to handle this?

I'm getting a divorce in the US and will go back to my home country in EU. I hate that I have to leave my job here but also don't want to go in consulting again since I'm burnt out at so many levels 😭😭😭 I'm thinking of applying for PM roles but I haven't prepped a resume in the past 6-7 years and struggling to draft something that can be customized for PM roles. Do you have any suggestions on websites, resources and example resumes? I just need to start somewhere...

How do you all deal with team members that submit deliverables to you with egregious spelling, grammar, and consistency issues (even after 1-2 reviews and feedback cycles). Do you just roll up your sleeves and do it yourself at the expense of sleep and other priorities?
