I spent 2 years as an SE at my current company and was offered a job at the same company to lead our tech partnerships. I was pumped about the role and increased my OTE by 20%. After 4 months, the culture of this team is entirely different than sales. My manager micromanages me, is out of touch, and threatened me for having passion projects outside of work. Do I stick it out and deal with the anxiety, move on from the company I love, or take an AE job that is on the table and blow it up?
How is the work culture at Deloitte USI ARA, Hyderabad? WLB? Promotions? What kind of projects does a CA/CPA get?

Hi 🐠 anyone have experience working at the Capital Group Companies? What’s the culture like?
Is the work culture at reliance bad?
I like my company. I like our top executives but really disappointed by the internal culture of my mid-level managers. I’ve noticed they are willing to immediately throw seniors under the bus to upper management. Creates a culture of distrust with my managers.
I need help as someone who is new to Big4 consulting culture. I completely bombed an engagement due to many factors and I’m now rolling off. What is the procedure to move forward?
Has anyone commented on the Stella spots with Carrie Bradshaw? What a mess. What a missed opportunity to revive a pop culture icon (whether you hate Carrie or not). Who did this ????
Culture question. I’ve always been environment where you get your work done, bill your hours, you’re good. This new job is focused on hours in the office. Is this normal? More in comments
Dear 🐠 I need some advice: Should I leave my BizOps role at tech to join S& at a post MBA level role? For context I have done some non-strategy consulting work before (bug4). Kind of tired of my current role and looking for maybe a change of function. Have a couple of other offers all tech/startup bizops type roles. Pay ranges vary but nothing much different from the S& offer. I’m getting mixed vibes from S& (ok brand vs culture) and not sure if tech to S& is the right move. ~ 5yoe Strategy&
How real is the “up or out” culture in consulting? Specially thinking about tier 2 firms, healthcare focus.
Reached out to the head of Firm A (who I had a last-round interview with a few weeks ago) to say that I received an offer from Firm B but still want to work for them. The head said that I'm one of the top candidates and that they want to schedule more time to talk in detail tomorrow. What could this mean?
Hello everyone, I am currently a HR Generalist for a small aerospace company, located in CA. I have been in a generalist role for a little over 4 years now and before that, I did recruiting/safety for about 3 years. I am now looking into getting my HR Certification, but am stuck in between the PHR-CA or the SHRM-CP. Does anyone have any recommendations they can give me?
A little conflicted and could use some advice — I recently transferred offices several months ago. I just got hit up for what could be described as my dream position, but I feel guilty — continued..

I’m at the references stage of interviews so I reached out to a former partner I worked for to see if he would be ok with me listing him as a reference. He agreed, but also asked whether I would come back and work for them. Would it still be weird to list them as a reference?
Hi, I’m an analyst at a Big 4 firm about 3 months into my first project and feel lost and utterly confused. Project is outside of my skill set and interest and I feel like I’m in too deep and don’t care enough to eat shit for this project. Not looking to get my hand held, and never afraid of hard work, but this project really sucks in my opinion. Really wanna get to a new project but trying to figure out if it’s me or the project? Anyone ever been in these shoes?
Anyone here heard of McKinsey Academy? What is this team like? WLB? compensation? Was approached about a Client Delivery Associate role within the group.
One of my roommates has been trying (unsuccessfully) to kick me out of my apartment and back to my parent’s house because I have COVID and it’s screws up with his ability to go into his office apparently (he’s even vaccinated). Anyone else face something similar?
How do you deal with failing your exams? I’ve been given another go, due to COVID-19, but this is will be my last attempt. I keep failing by literally a couple of percent!
