Cons - wanted AD but offered SM, less exposure to different work, more personal effort to keep up w industry knowledge and new tools

For all you cold storage advocates out there, how do you rationalize not earning interest on your holdings? Apologies if this has already been asked, and I understand the history/platform risk of hot wallets. The risk of total loss is quite low if spread among exchanges.
