What title for this job description?
I want to switch roles from a creative director who oversees all aspects of the company’s creative (marketing campaigns and brand building mostly; also production, performance marketing ads, product design, managing design team) to focusing 100% on building our brand, educating both customers and employees about our value prop. I hate managing people or logistics and scheduling. What would this role be called? Do you see it as demotion from CD?

I'm starting to wonder if recruiters are looking for candidates with experience or just looking for the time they've served in one position. The two do not always go hand in hand.

I gave a salary range to a couple recruiters for digital consulting positions and am not sure if it was relatively close to market value or not. Would you think this (admittedly wide) range is high, low, or reasonable? Any advice is appreciated!

Some info:
- Both roles are for boutique digital consulting firms in Chicago
- Consultant 1 positions requiring 3-5 years experience
- My range: $100k-$120k base
- I have 4 yrs experience, 2 of which in a BA/Product owner role (non b4 accounting firm)

Pros + cons of entry boutique vs big 4 strategy consulting? For the boutique firm I would immediately have title of management consultant (they have flat hierarchy). How would this affect exit opportunities?

My wife is a Chartered Accountant with 7+ years of experience as credit manager, underwriting loans with some leading banks in India. She just got her EAD and is looking for jobs, open to switch profiles as well. Do you think she would fit in for any role here in Seattle, WA? She has been a star performer and promoted twice in the last 3 years. One problem is companies look for US experience which she does not have, we just moved here early this year.

Should I ask for a raise?

My 6-month review is next week and I’m thinking about asking for a raise. I’ve never asked for one before and normally would never think of asking for one until at least 12 months but in the last couple of months my role and responsibilities have enhanced significantly. Just found out my abusive ex made partner this year. We were together almost 4 years until I had the courage and help of a therapist to leave him last year.
