15+ people have left my company in the past 5 months (180 person startup) mostly due to low pay /poor management, but mainly low pay. I enjoy my role, and believe in the company to the point that I want to do something about it. Have any of you managed to help reduce turnover rate as an IC? Any suggestions on how to approach this especially since I’m not in HR?

Do referrals at Google expire? I applied to a few roles and the email I got back said they would notify the person who referred me of my status (didnt get the roles). I just applied to a few more and the message i got back did not include the same message so wondering if I am still coming across the hiring desk as a referral. Thank you.

Anyone know what pay/culture is like at HSBC? Potentially Interviewing for a fixed income sales role ( Associate level) but to be honest have not heard much positive things lately about the firm. Also its in Toronto so the team is very small compared to their larger markets.

I’m a digital CD with ad, brand, and product experience contemplating a switch to tech. The role leans more product design role as a head of design. I’m worried about not being able to come back to more brand creative side whether in-house or in an agency setting. Is this a legitimate concern? I recently passed my LCSW exam and I am waiting to receive my official licensure information in the mail. I interviewed for a position that requires the LCSW and received an offer to start as an MSW and eventually adjust my salary once my licensure and credentialing is completed. They gave me the salary for MSW level however, they said they could not tell me what the salary bump for LCSW would be until i have my license number. Is this standard practice for a LCSW position in a clinic?
