I know some will prefer dads over moms, but I assume majority of children out there will prefer their moms over dads… I have one child and it kinda hurts to see my child always preferring the mom over me. Trying to find a psychologist that allows my insurance and almost nothing available. However, a lot of options for therapists / counselors that specialize in anxiety and depression. Really don’t want to see a psychiatrist yet because I want to try to “cure” my issues without medication until it’s truly needed and recommended. Have therapists helped you? What’s the difference other than a psychologist having a PhD I guess?

How do I go about getting a car loan so I can walk into a dealer with the loan already secure, but I don’t know the final selling price of the car? I want to lock in an interest rate now, so kinda “pre-approve” myself for the maximum amount I want to spend, but I will likely not actually spend that much to buy the car. I.e locking in a interest rate for $45k/60mo now, but might only use $35k at time of purchase.

In parallel I have learned powerbi, advance excel, basics of python, currently learning tableau as well.

Worth it to make the jump to PE at associate level? Late 20s and about to be a second year IB Associate. All in comp will be higher in IB vs PE role. I also hate being available around the clock / lack of visibility into future for scheduling etc. In the interview process with a few LMM. For those on the other side what would you do in my place? Do you get more freedom / control with your time in PE?

How useful is having worked with the PE practice (deal strategy, CDDs, etc.) of a consulting firm vs any other one when trying to break into PE? I understand it's probably better to come from such units but I wanted to understand in which ways it helps. Is it actually irreplaceable skills vs understanding of sector dynamics vs pure prestige?
