My roommates and I are thinking of breaking our lease due to COVID-19 since we’re all quarantining out of state. I’m currently on OPT and my H1B will kick in in October. Currently doing ID (car accidents, premises, general negligence). Although I am doing higher exposure cases, running entire litigation dockets on my own, and doing some more complex work, I just feel that I am stuck making crap money the rest of my life. Just now entering my second year. I only get considered at other ID firms. I need to leave but no success. I have things to pay and I just feel that I am stuck making no money forever.

I have practiced law for several years and still struggle with the feast-or-famine nature of my practice. (Sudden rush of client outreach, many emergencies, then … nothing). A famine week might be 3-4 billable hours/day.
