Anyone been to a psychic before? I am curious what they are going to say… but i also don’t want to hear something i’m not going to like 😅

They’re all scammers and they just try to tell you what they think you want to hear.

Cold reading

I’ve been to a tarot card reader, and I want my money back 😠

I know what they’re gonna say

“Good” psychics don’t give bad news. They just say what to look out for. For example she could tell you that you’re not going to marry your current SO, and it will be a while before you do marry, but then you will meet someone great and worth the long wait. Or she might say that ggma Mary is watching over you and is baking you cookies and she’ll be here for you when times get tough. Whatever you believe it could be fun and possibly uplifting once in a while.

I’ve been 3x but only in Cassadaga, FL (it’s a psychic commune). 2 were pretty accurate (school, job, future living situation) the other was a bunch of hogwash. All three were fun…

Western psychics are a scam But if you got a cultural shaman, those will do

I’ve never watched that but maybe? Every culture is different tho, ours aren’t publicized like the TV show but based heavily on spiritualism and ancestor worship. You have go-to fortune tellers based on how accurate their previous predictions were, once you find a legit/reputable one then they usually get good yearly clients. At least for all the many readings I’ve got (never in person, only based on birth charts, across four or five different readers, initiated by my distant relatives so their knowledge of my life was inaccurate/sparse at best) they were very accurate it was scary

I did it once as a party guest… it was unbelievably eerie how completely her predictions came true. Even things that made no sense/ seemed impossible at the time of the reading. It’s always made me wonder! 🤷‍♀️

At the time of the reading I was living in a small rural town with NO gay community. She predicted that in two months someone would move nearby and we’d be a great match. I hadn’t met another gay person after living there almost two years, but then it happened right on time. She also predicted that in six months I’d be offered a job that would change my life. That made no sense because I’d just started a new position on a one-year contract. But it happened, and it was the foundation for the rest of my career. She predicted a spiritual guide would come into my life… I was an atheist so I dismissed that, but then at the new job I became best friends with someone Jewish, and we started going to synagogue and studying Torah together. So yeah… not earth shattering, but also more than you’d expect from just coincidence. I dunno!

What to do if your Manager (on main client) talked crap about you at a work HH you couldn’t attend? Always had a gut feeling she didn’t like me, so I consider it a growing LT issue

I have a return offer following my internship for an MBB in my home country in SE Asia. However, I want to stay in the US after my MBA (salary, relationship, network etc.). Would it make sense to get offers from T2s to put pressure on my company to enable a transfer? If so, how would I best play this card? I would likely pick any US firm over any MBB at home, given the financial considerations.
