Looking for any advice/suggestions for travel in Southeast Asia. My boyfriend and I are planning to go for 15 days. Our idea as it stands is to spend 2-3 days in Singapore, 2-3 days in Chiang Mai, 3-4 days in Phuket and 5-6 days in Bali. We originally were just going to be in Bali the whole time, but we figured if we were gonna travel that far we might as well see a few places. Is this enough time in each city? I’ve been told by SMD in Consulting (who recruited me) that I should be expecting L6 SM in the next year, year and a half, and likely won’t get promoted as fast in Strategy. Been using the Delta Platinum Amex for a years. I travel for work, but not often enough to justify the Delta Reserve. Right now, my wife has the same card, but it’s on my account. Almost every purchase we make is on the card, so we take a few flights with miles and the companion pass each year. Thinking about splitting our accounts just to get another Delta Platinum, get a big mile bonus, and then we’ll have two companion passes between the two of us each year. Anyone done this? For first class lounges (emirates in dubai), how early can you go in? I think i will skip hotel and just stay in the lounge, do a day tour, come back to lounge and sleep overnight. Flight is the day after so id be in the lounge for 28 hours. Anyone know if i can stay in the lounge for this long ?

Lost sense of maximizing points/mileage value for int’l flights. Why is Detla redeeming so much more for some routes than Chase UR and even other partner airlines? E.g. non-stop economy btw Detroit-Seoul // Delta redeeming 160k on its own route while Chase UR 123k & Korean Air 80k for same route (code share)... I get it all depends on timing but still weird directly using Delta Skymiles on its own Delta route is more expensive than going through other methods....
