Was there last month . We did an Airbnb
We were at 2 mins walk from the beach . South Kihei road .
We stayed at the Westin last month. It was at full capacity- so reserve dinners and activities now. The resort was well maintained, our room had been recently renovated.
We stayed in the newer tower. Basically what it gets you is a club lounge with free breakfast and non alcoholic drinks. Our room was technically “ocean view” and we also overlooked the dumpsters at whalers village 😕. If I were to go again I wouldn’t bother for the extra points/dollars for the newer tower.
Stayed at the Sheraton, good food options, great sunsets and by a great snorkeling spot. And a little cheaper than the Westin ;)
Nope, I had a beautiful oceanfront view with a balcony where I could see both Lanai and Molokai from my window. I didn’t see any renovations. I booked it all on points and the only reason I didn’t extend my stay just to sit on the beach was because it was $1200 a night and I ran out of points, lol.
I’m having a hard time deciding between Sheraton and Westin, using points so will cost the same. Any first hand comparison experience?
I stayed at the Sheraton last month. The rooms were nice and the location is excellent. The best snorkeling is right on the beach out front. I did have a negative experience though when I received an email 2 days before the luau was cancelled and they didn’t try to reschedule for another time or anything.
Which Westin? There’s a few properties. We’re going in Oct w my extended family and dreading it - heard everything is packed and with capacity restrictions and limited staff it’s a sh*t show everywhere
We did 😊
