Sheraton on the park all the way
I stayed at the pier one (Marriott autograph) you don’t need a suite upgrade because it’s literally on a pier underneath the harbor bridge. Prettier sunsets, awesome breakfast, great rooms
Stayed at the Westin. It was nice enough but very limited elite recognition (no upgrade, etc.)
Old Clare is by far and away my favourite because I’m sick of standard ‘business’ hotels. That said, between Westin and Sheraton I’d also vote Sheraton. They recently renovated the rooms and it’s in a great location (but then so is the Westin). The Westin has much better food options in the actual building, but I don’t know how important that is.
Sheraton also has a better gym with pool, steam room, and sauna, and the club lounge is quite nice vs. the average Sheraton.
Thanks all! So helpful
Yesssss another vote for Sheraton. It is pretty big and can feel like a 'conference hotel' (lots of tour groups) but, big rooms, comfy beds, nice rooftop pool/gym, get a room with views of the park, and best club lounge in town.
Sheraton all the way. Pier One’s location is not that great - basically a poor mans grand Hyatt with a decent walk to cCrcular Quay.
I liked Pier One personally, agreed on the amazing free breakfast for platinum members
Sheraton is pretty good. Was there in December. Make sure to get the club rooms (recently renovated)
