Anyone been to the Austin F1 before? Any tips for 3-day ticket holders to get a chance to see the drivers or do a pit walk?

General F1 info: - typically if you have a 3-day pass, you're able to go Thursday afternoon for a pit lane walk. I really enjoyed these in the past. - some tracks will let you onto the track, to walk around or as part of an organized 5K run. - there are usually signing sessions in the fan zone with drivers. You have to get there early, especially at races that pull in a significant number of spectators. But it is covid right now: - Even though local regulations have opened up, F1 has their own set. - In Austria, there were limited passes for the pit lane 'walk', and even then they drove you slowly by in a small tram. - There were also no opportunities to meet drivers face-to-face, only through zoom as part of some of the F1 experiences or paddock club packages. If you're seated on the start finish straight, you might see some of them around the cars in the garage, or on the starting grid.

I wouldn't expect to get close to anyone, covid or not, unless you buy a paddock club pass $$$$$. Everything in F1 is monetized. Less about F1 and more about Austin: There's amazing food there. Check out the local joints, typically the drivers will be out Friday night if at all and someone's you can run into them. Dany apparently loves Austin and goes to the bars when there. If you like BBQ, Franklin's (order a day or so ahead so no line), Black's in Lockhart, the Salt Lick, La Barbecue, that's list goes on. But it's not just BBQ that's good there, need a quick burger on the way? Grab P Terry's.

Hello All. I am a recent licensed attorney in NY and AZ. A former judge from Albania. I hold a JD from ASU. Unfortunately, being only focused on trademark associate positions, I have not landed my first year associate job. Actually working in house as a trademark paralegal. Do you remember how did you get your first job as a trademark attorney? Where is a good place I should send my resume in AZ, NY, or for remote? New in the States and I do not have such network! Thanks

If you, or someone you know, is passionate about women's advancement in the Big 4 and are open to sharing personal reflections on career trajectory, I'd be grateful to have your input shape the study. Entails a 1 hr zoom interview; all info will be anonymized.

First time leaving firms - not sure what to do with my 401k. Should I keep it as it is, transfer to an IRA, or a Roth IRA. If it is the latter, I know Roth IRA has a 6k limit but my 401k has ~17k. Will it exceed the limit and if so, what should I do? 22 here, not too familiar with the process. Thanks!

I work on a relatively large team. The AGC I report to will soon be taking a 6 month sabbatical, and I’ve been tapped to temporarily assume their role and responsibilities during this time, including taking on direct reports. Should I look for a (temporary) comp bump, or suck it up and enjoy the resume building opportunities?

Would you choose an investment job at a private, partner-owned long only fund where you’re guaranteed to never lose your job& can be a multimillionaire; or at a very top L/S HF where the bottom performers are fired each year, but you could make multimillions in a good year? Another related q, would you forego the offer at the first place to potentially get the offer at the second place, knowing it’s very competitive? Assume you’re target background, at another top fund, good work ethics

Went out this weekend for my cousin’s 21st bday. My cousin ended up getting super sick, throwing up at the bar, etc. my buddy and his gf came to the same bar (they were celebrating gf’s bday). Seeing my cousin in a bad state I decided to take her home. My buddy’s gf got super mad at me and my gf for wanting to care for my cousin. She then gave a half assed apology saying she was annoyed at the situation. I don’t really know how to bring this up to my friend. Any suggestions are appreciated!

What does M&A consulting at big 4 look like, especially at the entry level? All my previous experience is in audit/tax and I know nothing about consulting, just wanted to try something new. I liked my finance courses in undergrad, but not sure how relevant that is. Would I have ANY transferable skills from my accounting background? Can you explain what the work is like for a new hire? Especially if you've made a similar switch?
