Don’t worry about players dropping out. There are still so many exciting people to go watch. Weather will depend on what you have tickets for. As someone said above, I’d you have tickets to Ashe, it has a roof and you’ll be able to watch. If you have tickets to outer courts, definitely check weather report. Covid protocol is just proof of vax, so unless you’re uncomfortable by that or don’t want to deal with crappy weather, I’d go in a heart beat
I went on Monday. Showed my proof of vaccination to the people checking before the entrance. Other than that, similar experience to the ones I’ve had pre-covid with the exception that some people are wearing masks. It was more crowded than I expected with all the big stars dropping out. Ashe and Armstrong both have retractable roofs so if you have a ticket to either of those courts, you’ll be fine with the rain. It was still fun and exciting if that’s what you’re wanting to know.
I went today, it was not crowded and the rain held off. Given that it wasn’t crowded it was a really pleasant experience… no fighting for seats on the outside first come first serve courts either.
If you have a ticket for Ashe there is a roof so you’ll see tennis. Players dropped out before the tournament started, minus like Korda who pulled out from his match
Going Saturday night and giving it all a second thought too.
The only Covid protocol is to show proof of vax, very simple
Just got tickets for weds quarters. Never been before but I’d love to hear how it has been this year.
