Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

Yep! On one case I rocked the case but flubbed the personal experience, on the other I rocked personal experience and flubbed the quant section of my case. People always think you have to be perfect in these interviews, but that’s not true. It’s important that when you do make a mistake you recover quickly.
Thanks that makes me feel a little better about my performance!
I bombed my first 1R interview, almost gave up. But rocked all the cases that followed and finished with offers from all - MBB
Thanks that is encouraging to hear! Will keep going and see how it goes :)
Yes sort off, on every round there was one case where I had to ask the interviewer for help structuring the math
Yes
Once a future partner at McK got booted from round 1 of interview during Mba recruiting
He told them they made a grave mistake and given he was xx scholar (top 5% of class at Stanford), they gave him another shot. What separates best from the rest is they are good and know it...
Now. Bombed BCG 1R as a lateral. Was back 2 years later as MBA and did ok. :-)
Haha thanks that was my plan if I don’t make it this time :)
Nope.
What kind of math mistake was it?
Great that you were able to gut check it! Even if the interviewer had to ask, it’s good to be able to determine if a number is reasonable.
