I got a Boston Consulting Group employee to refer me. Got the referral link instantly but I can't seem to see any AC roles on the Job posting site. My link was some brassring referral link and it had some 807 openings but no AC roles. I have reached back to my contact to figure out what's up with this. Anyone from the firm has any idea or any candidate had a similar experience ? My referee didn't ask me for any office preference or anything just fyi.
What salary range can be expected as PO at Maersk HQ in Copenhagen? I am shifting into a business product (portfolio) owner role where I will be managing and prioriting the requirement funnel towards a central IT infrastructure from the technical business unit stakeholders (e.g. from mechanical and electrical engineers.).

Microsoft why are you damn obsessed with making so much of your software “start on startup” by default?
It’s so annoying and Microsoft teams is the LeAST efficient chatting app out there so it’s awful on resources. Slack is SO much faster and doesn’t start on startup (I don’t think ?)…
you’re really quite something to blatantly copy the competition, make your product more sluggish, and then add in your nasty ass dark patterns. Microsoft teams = bloatware 90% of the time. Stop prioritizing it

Last week in public accounting!! 🎉
Accountant opening at bleeding edge lender to high growth, venture-backed consumer/retail start ups. Ideal candidate has audit/assurance experience at a Big 4 firm, but is looking for an upgrade in quality of life and interest in the industry. https://dwightfunding.com/careers/accountant/
That is the biggest hoax ever
Recruiters just want their commission. I had a recruiter tell me that i was making “the biggest mistake of my life” by coming back to the big four. I cane back into my old group but switch group and absolutely love my decision. Go with your gut.
In this industry especially you have to be very careful about what will look good (or bad for that matter) on your resume. As EY2 points out, recruiters want their commission.
I wonder if the day will ever come that people actually ask about, talk about, or care about WHAT IS ACTUALLY BEING DONE in various positions, rather than what it "looks like" on your resume. If someone, recruiter or otherwise, can't explain what it is that you would be doing and why it is that doing that thing would propel you to something else, that's kind of a red flag.
Was tempted to say they were full of it, but with that said what group would you be going back to in advisory and what are your career goals? Because if you’re going into risk advisory but want to do IB as an example long term then I’d agree that’s a bad business decision. But assuming it wasn’t something like that then I would agree the recruiter is being dishonest
Then ya I think your desire makes sense. I will say a lot of companies that have dedicated technical accounting groups operate in a similar function advising other parts of their organizations so that could be something to look into as well
I went back to advisory from audit. It seriously sounds like that recruiter is just trying to pull a commission out of you.
