I believe those who did reside in mental asylums since you would be crazy to do that

I know one guy who went audit > advisory > industry > audit. I called the police but they didn’t see the issue

funnylike

lmao

Only know of one guy who did as a senior (because the advisory people didn't want to keep him).

He's an audit manager now, hoping to get promoted to senior manager soon. He's persistent.

like

I've seen one guy did that , same reason as your guy

I knew I guy that went from advisory to audit to advisory. He move to audit for some consistency in his schedule and i think also the fact he probably was t on partner track at pwc and then left for mid tier advisory pretty sure he made partner there.

Working Canadian big law. Really burnt out and not enjoying work. Very understaffed and work product is suffering. Partners not hiring new associates, classic toxic work/availability expectations etc etc. have an opportunity to work with a boutique firm, make same amount making now but plus % of billables. Smaller deals and less sophisticated but opportunity to help grow the firm and be more entrepreneurial. Weekends generally protected and lower yearly target. What would you do?

I've just recently been hired as an assistant manager at a Canadian outlet store. It's a small company in comparison to others, but there are over 10 locations spanning western Canada and NW united states. I'm curious as to what others in a similar position are getting as salary. I was offered $42k plus bonuses at the interview, but when called back I was offered $44.5k plus bonuses. I already accepted. Did I leave money on the table here?

Taking a new role in industry after 2 years in public. Raises will be 2-4% in new role until promotion so I will catch up in public about 3-4 years from now. Thoughts?

Would appreciate any input. My friend is transitioning to another job. She’s put 4-week notice in accordance with her contract. However, seems like her employer is giving her hell for such “short notice”🤷‍♀️ There are concerns for her due to small industry in this area. Potential retaliation? Is there anything I could recommend her? She still has 4 weeks with them 🤦‍♀️
