Having stress nightmares from new job & can’t wait to leave 😒 Joined a small agency in manager role that unlike what I was told in interviews, they’re very reactive.
- decks must be put together within 1-5 days while learning how this agency does this project, learn about client, meet them, present it.
- account managers disappear till presentation day.
- when offering solutions, I’m told this is how it’s been.
- payday is this week, still waiting to be onboarded. HR doesn’t have time 🤦🏼‍♀️

This is mostly a vent but I'm spiraling and need help.
I'd been lobbying for a promotion to VP for literally years. I finally got it this summer. Immediately afterwards, a new position was created and filled - EVP.
This new EVP position is at our partner agency but oversees ALL work on this client (incl mine). So my VP stature suddenly dropped in importance.
Even worse, the new EVP came in guns blazing, trashing my work and saying it was not up to his standards.
I am devastated. What do I do?

Can I apply to a different job at a company if I just interviewed yesterday for another position at the same company? The new role just posted this morning and is a much better fit for me. Thoughts?

And if yes, would it be better to express this to the recruiter from yesterday, or just apply directly?

I’m 42. Being in adv, finance, now insurance. Never had the chance to get promoted (never saw anybody get promoted.. manager always were brought from outside). Now all the job posting I see, the ones I feel I could apply and be able to do the job are entry level. Don’t want to go to consultancy. Maybe a small start up? But again, what role?

I’ve done 18 months of internal sustainability work such as building our sustainability practice, initiatives to get B CORP, SBTI, tracked carbon emissions, company campaigns for sustainability awareness, sustainability strategy. Is it weird that intentionally don’t say interviews do my hiring managers or candidates, but I say conversations?

Since I don’t interview that well when I look for jobs, conversations seem less overwhelming. The way I look at it, is that every conversation is an opportunity for each party to expand their network and for my firm to build a continuous relationship/pipeline candidates. Anyone else think of if this way?

Hi everyone. Have been applying to multiple roles online/through LinkedIn, networking, attending virtual job fairs for the past 10+ months. I have gotten 2 interview so far and no offers. I am so burnt out and I really want to exit from my current role. Any advice is appreciated.
