Help!! My bestfriend is doing two months abroad and was trying to fly into turkey when they told her she couldn't because her passport expired within three months.

She went to the US Embassay in Athens knowing she had a month left of traveling, and gave her an emergency passport and punched holes in her exsisting one. Now no country will let her in with her emergency passport.

Can her mom get her a passport in the US and ship it to her? Is there anyway around this?

My GF has trouble standing up for herself. She's on client travel and one of her co-workers made her really upset (very uncalled for and should have never happened). She called me crying. After consoling her I told her that she needs to go to her manager and possibly HR (yes it's to that level).

Hey guys, I recently got offered a job as an equity trader for a large asset manager (T. Rowe, BlackRock, Vanguard) but I want to switch to equity research not sure this would help me do that. Currently have no real growth opputunities at my current firm and pay will be better and I can get my CFA if I take the job. Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I’ve been an associate at a PE secondaries FoF for about a year and a half, base pay of $83k (bonus of 10%) in a LCOL/ Tier 3 east Coast city.

I want to ask for $110k base (same bonus) at the end of the year to get my comp closer to street ahead of a promotion next year. Recruiters and a peer in a Tier 1 city put PE Secondary associates at $130-$160k base with 50%+ bonus.

Hey all, 3rd party recruiter reached out to me about a job. We had interview which I think went well. I did not give my salary expectations, but the recruiter provided the hiring budget.

After sending resume, I am now being asked my current income. Seems expectation is ~20-25% comp increase when you change companies. Effectively it would be a promotion, but the budget would be significantly more than 25%.

Do I inflate my current comp? My wife said she had to find a paystub for her job.
