I'm dealing with a lot of insomnia because my life is so lonely to be honest I think I need at least 20 minutes of vigorous exercise a day

Which state are you in? Recent laws in mine gave me access to products that helped me significantly with my insomnia and anxiety.

I was such a goodie goodie I had never thought to use them before, but one terrible panic attack after a missed filing (not my fault, totally out of my control, but naturally I internalized it) spurred me to visit a shop that looked remarkably like the genius store, and off to sleep I went.

There are tons of tactics I tried, and some combination of these got me to have a acceptable amount of sleep:

Weight training
No blue screen 30 min before bed
Earplug
Ashwagandha supplement
No caffeine after lunch

I m a very light sleeper so I feel your pain

High exertion exercise at least a few hours before bed helps me

Real question: how does a hospital system using a leading EHR not know where in the facility a patient is? Father brought in via ambulance at 215pm.....and when my mother called a few hours later for an update on his status they had no idea where he was. She played “transfer me to Dept X bingo” (ED, med/surg, OR, PACU), til she found a nurse who knew where he was. How does this happen?

I have been working with a therapist since January and discovered I have ADHD, which has explained so much for me. I am still learning about it and trying to accept it, but I am really hesitant to even begin thinking about taking meds for it. Maybe it’s denial and I need to get over that mindset of “I can fix this” or that there’s nothing “wrong” with me and that adhd it’s just a phase in my life, but I really am just not there yet. Are there any natural things anyone has found to be helpful?

I’ve been on the same dose of Vyvanse since fall 2019. It still works. I notice a difference when I don’t take it. But I think I miss the rush I used to get when I would feel my meds kick in — like I could handle anything and I knew my meds were working. That plus the hyper focus that was still within my control (not the time blindness hyper focus where you fixate). Does anyone still get that? Is it worth trying to change my meds? Or is this just what it feels like to be “normal” now?

Is it even worth it to apply to AWS on the creative end? I've heard it's impossible to get in the door without a referral. Plus I haven't heard great things about the culture over there. It was kind of a goal of mine, but is it better to set my sights on a less well-known company where I'd potentially be happier or should I go for it?
