I signed up for one last year but it was canceled due to Covid! Would definitely consider signing up again in the future
I did an REI trip to Machu Picchu back in 2005. It was fairly cushy, the other travelers were nice (100% from USA, I think), and they subcontracted to a local guide who was a native speaker. I’d do it again, though I felt like we were a little isolated from being able to mingle with the locals, practice Spanish, etc, although I could have broken out on my own a little if I were feeling adventurous and independent.
My partners parents are OBSESSED with them. They have loved every trip they’ve done.

I feel like so many of them you could just do on your own so I don’t understand the price. Take that money and buy sweet gear and just adventure.
