No but I can offer my experience in fixing my credit. How long it took and what I did. Was high 500s but now am 812 according to credit karma
I had a cc balance that I forgot abt before I went abroad to teach english for 3 yrs. i had to deal with a debt collector and ended up paying almost 4-5x my original balance. When i got back to the US, couldnt get a reg cc so I started with a $500 secured cc
After 1yr, was able to get a reg cc. Over this 1yr period, score went up quickly 580 to ~650
After 2-6 yr, got 2 more cc score went up to abt 730. Score increases were slower compared to the first yr
After 7yr, the delinquent acct that went into collections disappeared from my credit report and score jumped to low 800s.
I used to run a credit repair firm years ago.
My first question always...
Are you trying to remove bad debt that you fell behind on or are you trying to remove line items that you aren't legally liable to pay?
If it's the latter, the credit repair works.
If it's the prior, then that's an ethical decision you need to make before you go down the path of trying to remove actual debts you owe.
Credit repair was never meant to remove actual debts from credit reports. It was originally created to battle against identity theft. With that being said, if you're looking to purchase something, not really looking at long term results, just dispute all the bad debt. It'll be removed from your report while it's investigated. Only problem is these days that window is very short. People want their money.
