Would appreciate some perspective: my SO, who I live with, is closely following coronavirus and it’s to a point where he’s asked that we wash our hand every time we get home, ctd:
Best open source data for change COVID-19 details? Trying to look on the CDC and WHO site but would love to play around with and dataset. Any leads?
Sometimes it hurts to think about how well I know some airports. What terminals/airports were you frequenting before covid?
I thought it's possible only during college days..covid made it possible for office too😉
4 years at Accenture were stressful, left to go to Deloitte for $22k salary bump and hope for better culture, then COVID layoff happened. If I try returning to Accenture, which is the best division to try returning to (with generic consulting skills) and why? Not looking for "division spirit/pride," looking for insight into which divisions have better pay/culture/WLB/etc. (constructive replies only please, I realize I sound like a 🤡)
Anyone here had weight loss surgery? How was it? I usually try weight watchers every year or two and lose about 20 pounds.. then get comfortable and stop. I am about 60 lbs overweight and covid did me no favors 😩
I’ve worked on “briefs” like this before... https://musebycl.io/advertising/heres-brand-you-never-expected-do-pandering-coronavirus-ad
Asking for a friend who is a 2L in a New York law school, given the current coronavirus situation, how are firms handling summer internships, if any are hiring?
What types of class action suits will come out of COVID? Already seeing tons of class actions against Colleges from students
What an idea Sirji? Even the police in Kerala think different😀. In my state, we would have given the police gifts to conduct the marriage lol https://www.deccanherald.com/amp/national/south/police-offer-appreciation-certificates-and-gifts-for-weddings-following-covid-19-protocol-in-kerala-980889.html
Has anyone flown to/from the US to Europe recently (specifically France)? Is proof of vax enough for both ways or is showing a covid test required too?
AITA - In September, I started seeing this girl casually and lately, things have started getting a little serious (we are exclusive). I don’t spend any time physically with my friends since covid started and have limited contact with my folks (they are old with pre-existing conditions). I focus on my client work and only spend my free time with her. She spends every weekend out with friends (despite my concerns, but she says she needs to go out and maintain her social life).
Which one of my MAGA friends wants to be an early adopter of the vaccine that Bill Gates will implant with chips. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/sep/03/cdc-vaccine-coronavirus-trump-election
Hey Londoners - Visiting from the US in November after a stopover in Paris. If I'm understanding correctly, I have to take a day 2 COVID test. Is it pretty easy to find a testing center? Have any of you been taking the Eurostar and dealing with this? Thanks!
MBAs - is recruiting being impacted by COVID-19?
Can someone explain how the MRNA vaccine is supposed to be a silver bullet despite increasing evidence that naturally produced antibodies from COVID-19 do not confer lasting protection? I know that it is made using a different method than the old “dead virus particles” method - is this method theoretically able to confer immunity to any pathogen?
For a single person in your early 30s, how much should you have in personal savings? (Assuming you live in NYC/SF with salary and rent/bills to match)

Percentage wise, what is a typical bump for a promotion? Will soon be an associate (on the buy side)
I know it’s early but Christmas gift idea for a partner I work under. He’s been my mentor since I joined the office as a lateral and during COVID and the crazy m&a workload, he’s advocated for me and been incredibly humane, especially as someone who suffers from some mental health issues that were exacerbated by the pandemic. He’s the main reason I’m still surviving biglaw and haven’t left. Id like to get him something nice (is in his 60s). He doesn’t drink or else would have gone the fancy
Just got a first round interview from BCG off a referral--any tips on specific qualities they're looking for from laterals?
What’s the highest amount you’ve heard of a partner getting paid who wasn’t in a senior leadership role? Big 4 or MBB?
Which management style do you prefer? 1) My previous Deloitte SM calls me after all client meetings, pings me almost daily in the morning, whatapp me throughout the day, but he constantly provides me feedback and guidance 2) Now in Industry, manager barely replies to my email, only spent 30 mins daily during daily connect. I kinda prefer #1, am I used to micro-managing?
So I didn’t get my brother and your sister-in-law a gift for their wedding last February because I wanted to send them on a honeymoon. I thought I’d be able to use my points and really give them experience to remember. But it turns out because of Covid there are limits to the use of points for hotels and airfare. I don’t mind spending my own money, what do you think is reasonable? This is my only sibling.
Salesforce hello there, I am considering switching from Accenture to Salesforce. Been in SAP space too long. I focused much on HR for about 18 years. Looking into a customer success group. As I have delivered projects over $20M for the past 5 years. Any suggestions on which group might fit better and role? I am a Salesforce user. Appreciate your help.
Does anyone know the starting salary for Jackson Lewis in the firm's Connecticut office, as well as the billable hours requirement?
Are you all utilizing more retention bonuses to try to help control attrition? Trying to get a sense of it’s been a successful tactic for your organization or if you’re doing anything else to reduce regrettable exits.
For all you other 🐠, careful of the gains. I popped open the upper back portion of my suit in the middle of a client meeting 😂 so embarrassing
Hello all - has anyone got any intel on what it’s like to work at Accenture Interactive? What’s the culture like?
Anyone in banking ever see a product management role that is for actual products (eg loan or credit card offerings) vs the typical tech focus (eg LOS or digital POS)? Looking at a role description at Ally that seems ambiguous.
People keep asking if I'm up for promotion and I've only been here a year (so I am not). Flattered I guess?
