You have 4 years of work experience and you are a lead? What is your level if you don't mind me asking?
7 total YOE including running start up (was going to school part time while focusing on the running the company). Most of the 7 YOE was managing ICs and managers at start up. Google experience was more supervisory type of roles. Recently Left G and joined another FAANG at junior L6 equivalent. Choose career path to jump start career. Having technical skills in a non-technical field yields a lot of value
I hear you. Even though I have been clear about not wanting to become a people manager I am being pushed in that direction regardless because it makes more sense for the sales organisation I'm in. Stay true to your own path, it's never too late to make a U-turn. I'm sure there's lots of valuable learnings you can bring with you from your current role.
