We were back voluntarily 2-3 times a week, but that was just shut down over the weekend

Interesting. How long were you back in the office before they changed policy this weekend?

Do you mind mentioning which general company (industry, Big 4, size, etc)

I am. Tomorrow I am going to ask WFH in the afternoons a few days a week. It's kind of pointless to be in the office after 10 am. We usually have our meetings, and all go our separate ways after that. It's kind of dumb to be sitting in my office with a mask on when I could do the same without a mask at home.

Back 2-3 days a week with very masks not required, even in conference room meetings.

Back in now 2-3 days and everyone is saying we will be asked formally to return after sept

CLA’s initiative is “better together” to get people in the office. There is no official requirement to be back in, but it is heavily encouraged. I’m personally in every day, I love seeing my colleagues and the feel of the office.

Good to know about CLA. They told me the “better together” stuff during the phone interview, but I want a hybrid schedule; I don’t need to be in the office all day, everyday.

Is anyone required to wear masks in office at your seat?

Not in my office.

Started back full time 3 weeks ago. Actually they initially asked us to start coming in 2-3 days a week, then after a few days had an (unmasked) meeting where they said they want us full time but “we could WFH a morning or afternoon here and there if need be.” Then 2/3 partners left for 2 week vacations.

Any tips to get smarter about analytics and better at critical thinking as I get more senior in my role? I feel like my media department coworkers ask better questions and have better solutions (as they should). I have substantial knowledge like Google Analytics and various campaign metrics, but feel short compared to colleagues. Curious what courses, newsletters, etc may help.

Hot take, for those who received a stimulus based on FY19 or FY18 returns why doesn’t the government make people pay it back in the FY20 return if they don’t qualify based on the actual tax year stimulus was for? I understand why they couldn’t wait but IrS knows who received it so it isn’t hard to implement. Could have used the anticipated saving coming back to fund more stimulus for those who truly needed it.

Hi guys! I could use some help here, feeling a little discouraged. I started working for EY through a contractor and im hoping to move to EY to a different line that I could expand my current skillset. Although I don't hold a degree, I recently completed a certificate with Google in Project Management. I was hoping to move to something in Communications, EA or even Advisory but I haven't had any luck. and advice? Also looking into the EY Employee Referral scheme? or would that even be worth it?

Got covid from the UK , double vaxxed , and symptoms are wildly atrocious. Everyday I have different issues. I went from no fever to 102.4 in a couple of minutes. Blood oxygen dropped dangerously low and bounced back in a few minutes. Chills , cold sweats. My newest one is that my legs are so achey and sore it feels like they were beaten with a bat , just nonstop pain and can’t sleep. Anyone else experience these? Pretty sure I’d be hospitalized at a minimum without the vax

How do you deal with teammates who don't take initiative or move things forward on a project without being told to do so?

We have a deliverable due on Friday with alot of things to get done before then and seems like no one cares? I ask for status updates and all I get is no, haven't done that, will do it now. Sure enough, ask next day and the response is no, haven't done it yet.

These folks are seniors as well. Partner looks to me to provide a status update, and all I can say is in process.

How To Be Productive when Your Job Is Boring

I’m losing my damn mind at my job. I’m 23 years old and I’m a very ambitious, hard working individual but my job is literally so boring, I feel that all of my habits and skills are slowly deteriorating. I mean I do nothing all day, most days.

Im tired all the time, I can’t think of anything to do. I try to watch educational videos/pods, but there’s only so much. Any advice on how to fill in the time in a productive and entertaining manner?
