Hi Fishes,
I am not satisfy with the project tech stack and project itself in FIS Global . I recently joined in mid February and thinking to resign now.
If I give resign and serve notice period of 1 month as per the mentioned in appointment letter then FIS Global will give me the Relieving letter or not ???
I am so worried to take relieving letter that FIS will give or not as I didn't start actual work and since 1.5 months only just getting KT trainings on product.
Kindly suggest

If it’s not a client facing day what’s the point of playing dress up
GS is a free for all. Sneakers are the normal at all levels and all genders. Today an assistant wore shorts. Saw an analyst in leather trousers. Everyone keeps a jacket/tie and nice-sneakers or dress shoes or heels in case a client comes in. But otherwise it’s a constant panic getting dressed in the morning. Not to mention my juniors are all hyper trendy. They’ve all walked in dressed like a Zara catalogue.
I’m not even old but when I was an analyst it was a pencil skirt, dress or tailored trousers and heels every day.
Im more productive and get more work done when I’m in formal attire

Look good, play good. I use to write my college exams in smart casual.

Yeah lol. Apparently BofA is all running shoes 👟 and dress clothes.
My team is 50/50, but most of us change shoes when we get into the office, but still at least 30% of our floor is sneakers gang.
I’m part of a sales team and on none-client facing days we are pretty much Livingroom-casual
I’m client facing (some days) on the days that I know I do not have a client meeting - I’m more business casual think black ann Taylor skinny pants, a fun top, and Cole haan oxfords.
I usually get “are you going to a party” but womens dry cleaning is 2-3x mens. Nope. Not wearing a dang suit every day
I’m also pregnant so I’m sure as all get out not buying maternity suits. I think they can deal.
I was working for a new MD that didn’t even know who I was. I was sitting in the cube outside his office, wearing Jordan’s and lululemon pants. He was ranting about how all the new hires don’t know how to dress.
Like sheesh relax I have my clothes in the locker if I need them..
I’ve seen a trader in shorts and flip flops once before. They’ve knuckled on being that casual but it’s still pretty casual on non client days.
I’m not client facing so I just wear whatever I want. Just wearing a polo today and khakis. Nobody has brought it up once these past several months.
I have worn jeans to the office for the last decade or more and I haven’t put on a suit even for a client meeting in so many years I have lost count. Hedge fund clients are usually in sweats so I look dressed up in comparison. Tech company executives likely don’t even own suits and would trust anyone in a tie so I feel comfortable in my jeans at any meeting.
