Anyone else constantly in meetings? I have meetings from 9-4 every day, typically without any breaks unless I skip some. I’m exhausted and feel like I’m slipping. Any advice on how to stay sane?

Has anyone ever heard of getting promoted early to senior in advisory? If so, what is “early” (I.e. 1 year, 2 years?) my understanding is that 3 years is minimum but I’m curious if that is always the case with no exceptions

I’ve just had it with my manager today! I’m an entry level financial analyst and this is my first full time job outside of school. I’m very open to learning and I ask lots of questions but every single time instead of my manager helping, he usually shits on me or responds with condescending comments like “that’s common sense.” He often yells and raises his voice in meetings in-front of other coworkers and emails on weekends asking to update models.

My title is Associate Director of Project Management and my base pay is 113k however my employer said I can make *up to* 40k in bonuses. Why do I feel like my base is too low? Thoughts? I’ve been a PM for 7 years.

Sitting back thinking how ironic it is that I’m literally deep into the interview process with another agency to get away from an account director who makes my life hell. I have to give up working at an awesome agency but I don’t see a way of getting away from them because they wouldn’t switch me to another account. Oh well maybe I’ll boomerang.

I started a new full-time job 3 months ago. My teammates only escalate small mistakes to my boss; I rarely get positive feedback on the things I go above and beyond on. I have a review coming up this week, and I don’t feel secure. A role that I applied to pre-covid became available. I got a verbal offer last week. Should I leave a full-time gig for a temp-perm one? I’ve killed myself to implement constructive feedback but I’m scared it wouldn’t be enough.

Wanting some advice. I manage higher up’s close friend and they are not qualified to do the work. I have been trying to steer the person in the right direction for weeks, & they don’t take feedback well and blame others. There was a particular meeting where this happened in front of others & they got frustrated and this got back with my boss and I’ve been told I need to work on empathy. The irony here is in past reviews my strongest feedback has been my relationship building skills.
