When interviewing for a lateral associate position what are some questions I should ask? Not just to fill space but things I should genuinely want answers to for consideration if I eventually receive an offer

I’ve a multiple interviews lined up. I’ve a final round of talks with one of the companies today (which has poor reviews on Glassdoor) and another company had interview on Tuesday and had it cancelled because of the emergency. When asked to schedule this week (2nd round), recruiter said we are still in early stage. I’m interested in the 2nd company more it’s a smaller company but has great reviews. I’ve another interview from GHD which I’m greatly excited for. Don’t know what to do. Please advis

Can’t get over depression around one mistake. I don’t want to get too specific but it was financial related and involved missing out on a massive amount of money.

I didn’t hurt anyone and i also got happily married and got a puppy this year. I’ve had a rough year at work (largely because of depression) but they stuck by me and now I’m on a great role with a team i love. Also lots of interviews.

The recruiter asked for availability and I gave a wide range of times with the note I had no availability one afternoon (have to be on-site - would have to be a emergency to get out of). They scheduled the interview for that afternoon. This is the second time this has happened with them.

Was interviewing with a firm and soon after receiving an offer, learned of bad culture/toxic partners in the practice group from a couple of associates who recently lateraled from the firm. I turned the offer down. A partner that I clicked with while interviewing reached out asking me why I turned down the offer. Should I be honest and relay what I heard?

Has anyone ever asked a hotel if they can pay for half the daily rate in order to stay at the hotel Bc you have a late night flight? Do they accommodate this? Marriott is letting me check out at 4pm but ideally would like to check out at 8pm to catch an 11pm flight. I’m willing to pay extra if they can make this happen…
