Do you even attorney bro? We're supposed to be full of ourselves. When I nail an argument I'll read the transcript later just to be impressed with how good I am. Get better
On a slightly serious note...whenever I nail an argument at a hearing I usually save the transcript just for myself. It’s a good pick me up if you ever need a reminder that you chose the right profession or start to doubt yourself.
I read mine - was shocked to find that at my first deposition I started questions with ‘okay’. Every single question. Learning experience for sure. But I can tell you I don’t do that anymore. 😊

To be clear, this guy was a 10 year practicing attorney at least.
Some are definitely hard to read. But sometimes it reads better than I remember it actually happening which is nice 😉
I enjoy it. My arguments read much better than I thought they sounded in person.
Yeeeeeesssssssss! You gotta love those mvp court reporters that edit out all of your stutters and ummmmms. Just remember treat your reporters nice so they don’t make you look like a fool to the appellate attorney. Lol
If you want to know true pain, try watching yourself during an appellate oral argument even if you feel like you nailed it. I learned that I can’t help myself from glaring at OC when they make a stupid argument and it was all caught on video. A nice glass of bourbon definitely helps too.
I had a client bombing a direct examination by OC once and my co-counsel had to pinch me because of the look on my face. I was completely unaware. Gotta do better

No. I read all my dep transcripts and try to find spots where I can improve.

Also, easy billables. Analyze transcript of so and so regarding further discovery to conduct. Or something to that effect.
