Hi my IBM sharks 👋🏻
Has anyone being on bench received automated mails from RoBoT_System@xxx.mail.ibm.com and been told something like this-
"This is in continuation of the multiple e-mails on the subject, right since you were 45 days away from your last assignment closure date. We expect that you understand your personal responsibility to get assigned to a relevant project within IBM, and also expect that you take steps to achieve the same"
Is this something to be worried about?

It’s an unfortunate assumption people make all the time. We’re more than that and should make it known we’re not glorified admins. First start by setting expectations at beginning of mtgs. If I’m creative reviews, you’re not solely responsible nor accountable for revisions or updates they’re to make to their own work. When it comes to internal reviews, perhaps if there’s also an account person you both take notes and compare to ensure accuracy. For client reviews, most of times if not all it should fall on the account team. At end of the day it’s not who takes notes rather than it being overall team accountability. Bring your strengths to each meeting and remember it’s not all on you.
All the time. 80% of my last job was scheduling meetings and asking people if they could move other meetings because no one had any time to meet. I think if you can show you are proactive about and reliable in doing those parts of the job, hopefully they’ll cool it a bit on the bossiness.
All the time when starting on new teams. It’s infuriating.
This was one of my pet peeves in advertising. I moved client side a few years ago and thank god everyone is an adult and responsible for taking their own notes, scheduling their own meetings etc
what role did you take client side?
I would set expectations/define your take on your role w the team. Maybe they don’t realize how they are coming across.
