I gave up on texting for the most part. I have recurring calls with friends now - weekly virtual movie night with a friend who lives alone, monthly zoom call with girlfriends, biweekly knit night with mom. I've been slowly setting more of these up so I'm checking in on everyone regularly but don't have to remember to respond to the 8th 'hey' text that day
I love that! Such a great idea and feels more meaningful than a text

Yes it's hard to respond but at the same time I love getting their check in texts so I make the effort.

This is me. I thought it was just me...
Can confirm, it’s not just you
I’ve always had texting fatigue. I’m a “just call me” person
I relate to this so much.. I love receiving my friends’ texts but after I long day, I find myself too drained to answer and before I know it days have gone by. But I think we’re all on the same boat so just respond whenever you feel compelled to and remember to take care of yourself ❤️ it’s more than okay to take the little free time you have left in the day to decompress and reenergize in the way that feels right for you.

I literally almost never text anyone unless it’s to make plans.
