I had an interview last Tuesday at a Law firm that I reallllyyy like, this was the second interview with 2 partners. In my opinion, the interview went well. I answered their questions and towards the tail end of the interview, it was very conversational. But I also understand that it ultimately matters how they think the interview went. I want to follow up about the next steps, and want to know A: is it advisable? B: what should I say without coming off annoying? C: is it too early to reach out?

What transaction related questions should I be expecting as a second year lateral? How do you talk about your work experience effectively in a lateral interview (beyond listing the tasks you had to do)? This will be for an ECM role. Any and all other lateral interview tips appreciated!

I work in architecture and am considèrent a recent grad (0-3 years of exp.) but for the past year I have been working as a project manager but not getting project manager pay because I technically don’t have the years of experience for the title.

As I’m applying for new jobs I’m struggling to reconcile the difference between my experience and years post grad.

- The concept of a “boss” is very real. This person is largely responsible for your career, knows your salary, and has influence in things like internal transfers
- The idea of working FOR your boss is also new
- No time sheets or utilization
