Hi all! I am a lawyer with a decade of global experience (based out of New Zealand and working with counterparts across the world). I started out as a Barrister (trial attorney) and then moved into government with a stint in a startup in between. Recently moved to the USA and trying to get a job while I study the bar. I’m curious if there are others here who migrated to the USA? I’m having a hard time getting anyone to take me & my experience seriously here!

-first gen college student but white/male
-volunteer with VITA (low income tax assistance) and a running club that cleans up parks and paths around my city
-took GMAT once and was 710 (can improve)

I really enjoy advisory and want to move towards more federal strategy work at MB/T2/boutique or esg

Been seeing a therapist for 4 months and finally scheduled an appt with a psychiatrist to get on antidepressants. Hope that I find a good combo that works quickly and I can actually start living life

Why do people are having less knowledge or less people hage knoldege on Clouds or clouds security?

Medical bills exceed the policy. We found out at-fault party has equity in his home. Do we do a policy limits demand wherein we ask for a contribution as a requisite to our acceptance of the policy limits or a regular demand and wait for the insurance company to extend the policy and thereafter ask for a contribution?

Home Address faaaaar away from Home Office

I'm contemplating going through my company's process of changing my primary residence to a middle-america state with lower COL. The office that I'd remain reporting to is in a HCOL area. The interesting thing is that the new area is tiered at same level as my current area.

Have any fish had experience doing this? Was it worth the occasional flight back to your home office? Any noticeable difference in your taxes at the end of the year?

So I have been able to get offers at consulting companies and some FAANG exit companies (Industry), have made to final rounds at FAAG (except for Netflix) but wasn't able to secure offers. My ultimate goal in my life is to secure a FAANG offer, I don't want anything else in my life. Is it that life is trying to play with me?
