Anyone else feel like there's an aversion to using pink in materials in consulting? I used it as a highlight color for my deck given client's brand standards and my M changed it to dark blue 👀.

Nope. I embrace my inner Janelle Monáe and add pink whenever possible

I love the song as well

I use pink in all of my excels/project trackers. Once had a coworker say it was very “on-brand” for me. My manager always encourages me to develop my own brand, so I took it as a compliment!

There is a certain cellular carrier I used to have as a client and ALL of their decks were drowning in “magenta”. It hurt my eyes tbh.

We have brand colors. I try to stick to those or the client colors. Or standard Red, Yellow, green orange, black. Don't see anything wrong with link as long as it isn't a horrid shade or used excessively. Personally, I don't like pink all that much. Should we be offended that the default color if this bowl is pink/purple?

The women i work with change my things from light fun colors to shade of blue & grey. Not sure how i feel about it yet

I’m currently a mid level art director and have an offer to be a Sr. AD at a good agency. I feel a little guilty and insecure that maybe if I accept this offer I will be biting off more than I can chew since I’ve only been a mid level for a year. Is that BS or am I right to feel that way? On one hand I’m like okay this is basically the same thing I’m doing now but probably more client facing (which I’m cool with) and on the other hand I feel like an imposter. What should I do?

I went through a pretty rigorous interview process for a marketing project manager but ultimately wasn't given job. Though most of the feedback was positive, the other candidate had more direct experience with the job responsibilities (digital assets, social media, etc.) My job/company dabbles in digital but it's primarily traditional media. How do I again the experience if I'm limited by the type of work we do?
