If you're happy with where you are, no reason not to settle in for the long haul! But yes, very much feel that way. I'd take an offer $20-30k less if it was perfect in terms of WLB, but not willing to meaningfully shed compensation even for 40h/week... it's just too seductive. Man, lifestyle creep is real...
Yeah that's incredible. Well done!
OP: what's your role and level

L5, operations manager

Assuming you are L6 at G in non-tech role. You can move over to another tech firm, recently public companies if you’re more risk averse and pre-ipo if you can take some risk. Or even early stage if you’re really hung-ho.
At 7 yoe you are still relatively young…could also try moving to tech org in product (probably take level down but keep similar comp) if you’re looking for carving a different path.
Or just work really hard and play the politics games to try for L7.

I'm L5 right now in the 300s with stock appreciation. Thank you for the suggestion. Thought about the product vs the manager route and am currently going down the latter. I'm hoping this will open up more doors down the road in leadership.
I'm in a similar position. I'm going to L6 promo next Perf and no clue what I would be able to transition too if I got bored. I think lateral in org to new roles so I don't get stale might be the move.

Not trying to be rude at all, but if your problem is you can’t find any jobs that pay more than your current role and you’re really happy with your current role…that’s not a problem it’s a solution.
