Two things to note
1. Insane people stole ~2 entire years of your life, specifically your late 20's.
2. As a result, you've been stuck in stasis
While you have aged, you haven't likely had the same life experience as you would have over those two years. You had to stay put, renew a lease, maybe switch jobs maybe not, and occasionally see friends. You've been stuck at home in a loop for 18 months, it's normal and okay to feel like "the plan" doesn't exist anymore.
Once enough people grow up and get vaccinated or quite literally die off, we can get back to normal. You'll start making plans for the future in no time.

What a strange and baseless supposition lol
Meanwhile I’m afraid to move because all my friends and family are nearby and the thought of moving to a new city by myself and not knowing anyone freaks me out

Move around - I've lived in 3 countries and 4 states, and I lived in different cities in 3 of the 4 states to try them out, with my most recent move being a bit over a year ago, and I absolutely love it here and don't plan to move again. For context, I'll be 34 in less than a month. Husband was the same - moved around, lived abroad, and he also loves where we are now, and he's 41.
That makes sense. I’ve only been to Phoenix once but loved it. Arizona is absolutely beautiful.

I’m 30, know where, but probably can’t do it until about 40.
Yea you should smh. Lmao I’m messing
I’m almost 30 and I don’t mind finding new places here and there. Going to Chicago next. After that I might try to find a place to settle. Lived in multiple countries and states so far and I think it’s worth it to move around.
I’m older than you and have moved around every couple of years, and still plan to move around 2023 from the current city where I’m at primarily because of a job.
How do you guys continue to move with in person job commitments
Chief
Sometimes it's been a move for a job, other times I negotiated a move I wanted to do, and then when I went full time remote in 2015, it stopped mattering as long as the job got done.
