Anyone else feel like this is them these days?

Is anyone not traveling/not allowing family to come for the holidays due to covid? With everything going on it feels reckless to have my family come and struggling with the decision. I don’t want to get covid from them and I don’t want to pass it to them - I’m concerned both ways. We have kids that go to daycare and my mom and her fiancée aren’t the most careful as in they just moved and have had people in and out of their house and are always out and about (wearing masks). Just struggling...

I’m starting to realize that your performance depends a lot more on leadership’s perception of what you’re doing than what you’re actually doing. Hi, ladies. How long has it taken you to find a new job?

I’m currently on the hunt for a new job and I’m feeling really utterly defeated. Over the past year I’ve probably applied to at least 100 jobs and I’ve been on 8 different interviews all with no offer. I’m not sure if I’m doing anything wrong or if there is more being done behind the scenes that have nothing to do with me. Either way, I’m getting frustrated and my productivity in my current position is slacking as a result.

Sincere question- as a Pakistani born and settled in the US, I have many indian friends. We generally have some healthy debates. One of the arguments I find hard to debate is that we have some (indians and Pakistanis) have the same forefathers; Arab countries refuse to consider us pure Muslims and our many of our forefathers were forcefully converted. How do you argue it? I feel it’s factual and find it hard to accept.
